I am now using the latest version RC08D, i dunno if it is a compatibility issue but when i use the navigation function of the keypad, u can no longer access the option button (left & right sofkeys) os some apps e.g. sms options, smart explorer en etc. & the fade effects dont work on my fone either but im not expecting it to work on my old phone. Lols

Yes Iam using the last RC08D, but I think the fade effect do not work on wm2003SE

RC09-CORE1 Released

SmartToolkit has been released in version RC09 with engine CORE-1. Because new engine (CORE-2) still under development routine, we can't release it yet.

Feature Update

1. Add System Global Skinning
2. Recode the Keylock and Screen Saver

New feature "System Global Skinning" is planned to release with CORE-2, but current CORE-2 is still 60% into complete, it need so much time to finish. So we add the feature into CORE-1 based code, and released now.

System Global Skinning only available for WM5 and WM6, we still not found any API in WM2003 that support for it.

For more info read the Change Log in SmartToolkit manual after you install it.

RC09-CORE1 is release in 2 build:

1. RC09 with e-Natives Technology Signing
2. RC09 with Windows Mobile SDK Signing

For unlocked phone, you can download any build and run it without problem, but for locked phone, you must choice the right build or you will not be able to use the System Global Skinning.

You may download the "e-Natives Technology Root Certificate" and install it on your phone then download the "RC09 with e-Natives Technology Signing" build. You will be able to download the certificate in our download section.

You may download the "TEST USE ONLY - Sample Unprivileged Root for Windows Mobile SDK" and install it on your phone then download the "RC09 with Windows Mobile SDK Signing" build. You will be able to download the certificate in Microsoft Windows Mobile Developer website or another Windows Mobile community website, just try to googling by your self, or may be others people who more advance can help you in our website forum.

This version still use the CORE-1 base language pack, you will be able to update previous language pack by refering into Language Manual in SmartToolkit manual after you install it.

I found this program very usefull, but often made my dopod WM5 c720w freeze ... especially when trying to open multiple program at the same time (memory leak maybe?)

and also one of the feature that display where you located at from BTS, not completely working when I move to another place (still locked up on last placed)

anyway .. thanks for this great software

I believe that there is a problem with the Registry entries added in RC09-CORE 1.

I upgraded from RC08.0711.13 to RC09-CORE 1.

When using the Control Panel to change the STK's settings, my phone would lock up so tightly I had to remove the battery to power down.

This happened numerous times.

I attempted to install RC08.0711.13 again over RC09-CORE 1 by running the CAB file. It asked if the previous version should be removed, and I agreed.

Then, after a reboot, RC08.0711.13 behaved the same way as RC09-CORE 1! (phone would lock up after using the Control Panel to change the STK's settings)

I then removed RC08.0711.13 using Settings/Remove Programs. I was asked if I wanted to remove the app (yes) and if I wanted to remove the Registry information (!!!). I answered yes again to get as clean an uninstall as possible.

After a reboot, I installed RC08.0711.13 again and all is functoning normally again.

Is there any benefit to RC09 besides the global skinning? I'm not really concerned with skinning and I don't want to lose my settings again unless there's a good reason for it.

I still think this is the best program for Windows Mobile.

that's because color scheme you use is blue the same color as the global skining bar, it's like writing white leters on white paper

so it's not Smart Toolkit bug

When global system skinning is active and try to compose a new message, cannot see the indicators of (battery signal,ABC, T9, 123 e.t.c) at the top right corner beside clock.

EDIT:
I realise that this problem is related to the homescreen that I use, cause If I change the homescreen theme the indicators are back, when I change it back they desappear again

luckyfox - I guess you are lucky that it works on your device. But unfortunatly it does not work correctly on the HTC S710/vox - as noted by myself and other users.

In paticular it is prone to hang when switching from portrait to landscape mode - the smart keys stop working and the phone needs a re-boot to recover.

I had been using the alpha 4 version for a long time with no major problems.

This version often locks up, or is it only intended for specific devices such as yours?? - I think the developer intends for it to work on as wide a range of devices as possible.

I am only reporting the bugs that I see, for now I go back to running RC08C - as its the most stable on my phone.
