I want to share some important announcement about SmartToolkit development, here is still alot things that I should do to make this application even more seful and compatible for every windows mobile smartphone users.

I hope you all still with me to add your suggestions for SmartToolkit development, and others windows mobile application that will be developt by me.

1. About My Notes

I start it with SmartToolkit's My Notes. I will exclude the My Notes function from SmartToolkit main function.

It's about technical matter, sience SmartToolkit has been enough to contain all of main function which "very" important for Smartphone. I will keep the SmartToolkit as main application or Front End for all of incomming application that I will developt. This will make the phone more efficient, because SmartToolkit alwalys run on your phone! so some facility that "Not need to run everytime" will be excluded from SmartToolkit facility.

I am only exclude My Notes, because this function is not done and tested yet by SmartToolkit users, another facility will keep in their own function.

Technical matter is: Notes application should be able to save the file in any directory!
while the SmartToolkit shown My Notes in Start Menu, it mean My Notes files should only be ble to saved in "My Notes" directory. It will reduce the Notes ability, isn't it?.

With this problem, so I exclude it from SmartToolkit main function, But not mean I will ot developt notes application. I will create the note application with name SmartTextEditor.

This application will be in another Instance (another exe), you only need to call it
when you need to edit the text file, but sience SmartToolkit has already support to connect with another application, you will be able to setting the SmartTextEditor via SmartToolkit control panel, it will show automatically after you install the SmartTextEditor. I also will create the ability to connecting the SmartTextEditor with SmartToolkit Clipboard and Gadgets, so you can still feel the SmartTextEditor is one package with SmartToolkit.

And here others application that may I developt:
* File Manager
* Media Player
* Internet Messenger
* CallerID

I have the plan that all of application will be able to use the SmartToolkit facility,
like Media Player remote in SmartToolkit Gadgets, Internet Messenger and CallerID act as SmartToolkit service and run on background so it will notify you when you get
new messages or phone. So you still only need one application which run in Background "SmartToolkit".

I read in this forum who said like to hear the SmartToolkit as SmartSuite :). May be I will release all bundeled application as one package with name SmartSuite. And all is Free!!!

I can do all application more quick than developing SmartToolkit, because I had more than enough references and Idea for that's application rather than SmartToolkit. As you know, SmartToolkit is absolutely inovative idea from me and all SmartToolkit users, it took more time to learn and thinking :D.

2. SmartToolkit Full Release

SmartToolkit 1st version has come for a long time, and I am not yet launch the final version. I still will release the RC09 as the last beta, and will launch the Full version after that.

In RC09 I will replace the "My Notes" function with "My Phones" functions. It different with "My Devices", My Phones will act like directory with sub folders. In this sub folder, you will be able to access your contact, text messages or email directly just like file in explorer menu. You will be able to find the contact just like you explore you file in explorer menu, to change into messaging, you can press your right softkey just like explorer right menu, and select the facility. In contact you will be able to make a call directly by pressing the talk key, and action key to open the contact details or message contents. Can't wait to finish it :D.

After RC09 there is no more add another new facility, in RC09 i will hold about 1 or 2 weeks to receive all bugs reports (I will take the new feature suggestion for next version), and fix all exiting bugs, than release the Full version (no more RC, BETA or ALPHA. Full 1.0.0).

After Full version, I may release another full version update with variaty bugs fix, and the numbering will be like 1.0.1, 1.1.0... And that time is my time to start the 2nd version.

I need about 2 weeks from now to complete the RC09, but it may take more or less, it depend on my mood, my time, and my health :D.

3. SmartToolkit 2nd Version

Ok next, It's the biggest news. The first version is more like "I find what I need first". After it fixed, I create the new one with the better construction...

I did found anything for SmartToolkit, and want to rewrite all code, to make it even more compatible, faster, easier and manageable.

Here the new architecture for 2nd Version:
* Will use the hardware accelelator "DirectDraw" for WM5+ and GAPI for WM2003
* Will reduce the unused library code. I will took needed only, it mean I
  will recode the library like PNG, ZLIB, etc.
* Add the Services facility. Features like Auto Keylock will be act as services,
  so someone who don't need it will be able to completely disable it.
* Full Modular Application. It will even make SmartToolkit easy embed the new feature
  without uninstall the main program.
* Touch Screen implementation

I still not intended to developt the SmartToolkit for PocketPC (Window Mobile Professional) even I will add touch screen implementation, this facility only to preserve the next Windows Mobile Standard. I read in some forum that next version of smartphone will include the touch screen ability.

Oh! yes, because I don't have any real PocketPC hahaha... and I think how you use the PocketPC is absolutely different than how you use the Smartphone isn't it?. Even microsoft give the ability for developer to be able to make compatible application for Smartphone and PocketPC, but in the case SmartToolkit behaviour is absolutely for phone usage. It will more useful for Smartphone rather than PocketPC.

4. Support And Services

And the last from this very long story :D is About Support and Services. As you know, my job with SmartToolkit and e-Natives Technology becoming more-more interesting, I will keep to support any problems and keep to update the bugs fixes, but I can't do online everytime/every days due the limitation of my internet connection.

I hope you still keep the supporting me! Thanks and sorry maybe you don't understand some part of my words above, I am still learning, and thanks for you all, I can write this long story in english, while my english is so bad, I am lucky, beside I learn about programming language, I am also learn about english language, even still worst :D. Oh man this is long announcement news :D. I stop it right here....
