amarullz 12/06/07 22:58 Spectre: Progress? sure there are, but the file for test is not yet ready, I am also sucessfull to implement the global skinning :D...
spectre 12/05/07 17:13 Hi Amarullz, did you have some progress with the new RC09 version?
jhung 11/29/07 00:33 I am now using the latest version RC08D, i dunno if it is a compatibility issue but when i use the navigation function of the keypad, u can no longer access the option button (left & right sofkeys) os some apps e.g. sms options, smart explorer en etc. & the fade effects dont work on my fone either but im not expecting it to work on my old phone. Lols
spectre 11/28/07 15:33 Yes Iam using the last RC08D, but I think the fade effect do not work on wm2003SE
I am from Indonesia! and Where are you come from ? :D
May be we can share your experience about Windows Mobile Smartphone in your contry here...
In my country there is so small people who use the Windows Mobile's phone, and even my country not listed in regional settings and time zone :D.
But even only small people who use it in my country, I am so proud that I am using this great OS for my phone :).
Previously I had the dopod 577w, but I sell it to my sister with great price while I am buy it with good price :D. Currently I am only have the O2 Xphone IIm, but I can upgrade it into newest WM6 :). I think that is something GREAT that we can do with WM phone, when another old non-WM phone still in old state! my phone is keep update and still look new :)
I am also got the great experience in programming language, previously I am create the java application, but I think it's only be able to create toys application only. But with WM, anything you can do..
When my friends playing my phone, they said Wow! what is it?, and what is it?, and what is it?. hahahaha.. they now change their phone into WM phone :D, and copy the SmartToolkit into their phone...
This is my first year experience with Windows Mobile Smartphone, and I don't ever think to change my phone into another non-WM phone.

RE:Where are you come from? I'm from Germany Only 16 years old now ...
There are about... 4 ? people in my village who have a WM device. My father, 2 friends (1 got my old device ), and me...
"This is my first year experience with Windows Mobile Smartphone, and I don't ever think to change my phone into another non-WM phone."
That's exactly what I think, too. I've got my first WM phone (German SDA II... HTC Hurricane) back in January 2006. I've had that device about 15 months, and now changed to a HTC Vox (HTC S710). I don't even think about switching to a non-WM device.
Oh, what I forgot... I don't have any experience in programming, neither for normal Windows, nor WM. I though have some experience in homescreening, skinning and that stuff

RE:Where are you come from? I'm from Switzerland.
I'm also new to the WM-World since I got my first device (Qtek 8500) about a year ago and now I'm on my second device, which is a HTC-S620. I'm an old Palm-User though (Palm TX) and actually love palm for its ease of use, but since I'm kind of a gadget freak I couldn't resist WM for all the cool innovations it has to offer. Not to forget the great looks of the WM-Homescreens especially thanks to such great guys as Prosper

RE:Where are you come from? I'm from Connecticut in the United States. I too was an old Palm user starting with the first Palm (called the Palm Pilot) which I beta tested for them w-a-y back when, as well as working with Palm developers over the years in the creation of Palm software. I went through a progression of Palm units over the years. Wanted to try the WM OS so switched to an HP PDA about 4 years ago..but liked the features of the Palm better...so went back to Palm with the TX. Finally got tired of carrying around a PDA and a Phone so, I switched to the Moto Q about a year and a half ago.
I've been very happy, for the most part, with the Moto Q, and Ahmad Amarullah's Smart ToolKit takes the WM device to a new level altogether. Tried his Alpha versions until I tired of having my Moto Q 'crash' too frequently. RC 07 release works perfectly, for the most part, with the exceptions that Prosper compiled in his forum remarks. It's the first program for the Moto Q where the 'cut and paste' really works...and I've tried them all! Can't wait for the final release. Although...with all the ideas the forum members have been coming up with...Ahmad good be working on this for 'life' <g>!
Congratulations to Ahmad Amarullah for creating a program that has kept me away from going over to 'the dark side' and getting an iPhone.

RE:Where are you come from?
Hi !
I'm from Paris, France. WM devices were quite rare in France two years ago, but they are now REALLY more and more ordinary. In the tube for exemple, we frequently can see full rows of commercials for HTC devices or even competitor systems like the apple iphone. French people are increasingly interested in advanced phones, and if in the past WM devices were considered as geek toys, more and more casual people are now using thoses special phones.
I think its due to the rise of "no-stylus devices" like the iphone or smartphones, over PDAPhones which are usally more heavy and need two hands. Non-geeks but still advanced users (like me ?) wants discrete powerfull devices but still really easy to use and reliable as PHONES (and not computers only !).
I had my first WM device, a DELL, in 2002, five years ago ! Since this date, i cant even quantify how much devices i had. But if I had bunch of smartphones and PDAPhones, all were WM powered.
In france, we have a very special new carrier called "TEN mobile" which provides FREE illimited websurfing, push email and WLM illimited chats for every subscriber. Thoses services are not optional, they are included in every fixed contract. I preside the association of TEN Mobile customers ! That's why i had the great opportunity to test some new device TEN mobile put forth on the market. Lots of thoses are WM devices !

RE:Where are you come from? I'm from the Philippines. I've been a WM user for about 3 years now. My first WM phone was a HTC Tanager (WM2002OS)
I love WM phones because i can do a lot of tweaking on it compared to Symbian devices. I previously had a Siemens SL45 which i also loved to tweak, but i can only do so much.

Same as oldsap from the Philippines. Been a pocketpc user for 6 years now and only a smartphone user this year.
I'm enjoying the simplicities of the smartphone but with smarttoolkit it became an adventure...

RE:Where are you come from? @ rick11
How did you manage to get all your Palm data (datebook and adress book) on you WM device? I'm using datebk6 on my TX and am looking for a way to get all the information across to my WM6-device, including repeating events etc.
Thanks for your input
